My name is Bethany, and I am the author of this site. I am not an expert in childbirth or midwifery (yet!), but I love learning about it. I am a mom, foster mom, and a registered nurse (I have experience in pediatric oncology and neonatal intensive care). In one year, I have become a mother to two beautiful baby girls – see the other articles for stories and pictures.
I hope that this site will serve as a source of information and support for other midwives and midwives-in-training. As I learn about the art of midwifery and someday become a mother myself, my writings will record the journey!
My husband Ryan is the creator of this site, my tech support, my emotional support, and my best friend (thank you, honey!). We met on one of my trips to Haiti and hope to spend a lot of time there in the future.
