Blessed by Family & Friends

baby stuff

It is kind of weird to be preparing to be foster parents when we don’t have any biological kids yet! But, I am confident that God will provide the strength and ability to be the parents our babies will need. So far, God has provided some very important tangible things. Thank you, especially to my good friend Debra for all of the wonderful baby supplies! It is so wonderful to have the basics provided for now.

Wow, our house is filling up with things – we’re getting closer to having a baby around!

That is great! We have our home study scheduled for next Sunday. We still need to look over those questions but have been talking about how we will handle having two kiddos and how that will all work out. We have that bouncer too. It is GREAT! Praising Him for His provision!

Hi! I found your website through Shawnda's (spirit of adoption). I've been glancing through it and noticed that many of your passions are mine, too (birthing, adoption, foster parenting, mission trips, etc). I've bookmarked your site so that I can visit more as you continue to blog. I'd love to hear what church you go to, my best friend lives in Austin and I visit her every few months (I live in Tyler). Have a great day! ~Molly www.xanga.com/mulmol

Hello, I was wondering if you had an e-mail that I may be able to contact you at? I have a few questions about schooling and becoming a nurse etc.. I’m really interested. :) I’m sure you’re busy with the new babies, but if you do have time for a few questions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I just stumbled across your site and realized it was divine intervention of some sort. I’m finishing up my second year of medical school and am tormented by the thought that I’m heading down the wrong path. I plan to become an Ob/Gyn but feel that midwifery is my calling. My only hope is to create a private practice with a few midwives and give midwife-like care to my patients. I’m also a mother of one (delivered by a wonderful midwife, of course)—he’s about to turn 1! Also, my husband and I practice NFP!! I also hope I can have an NFP-only practice one day where women’s fertility is seen as a natural, healthy gift instead of a problem to stifle with pharmacology. If you become a midwife, perhaps we could work together!! We live in Minnesota right now, but will most likely move to Chicago or Indianapolis (probably not Texas, but you never know) in a couple of years, maybe sooner if I decide I need to do the unheard of and drop out of medical school to pursue midwifery:). Your site is wonderful and inspiring. Keep following your dream and enjoy pregnancy/motherhood!!
